Finney County Sheriff’s deputies were dogged in their pursuit last Sunday night of a trio of suspects believed to have been involved in a shooting incident in Ulysses on June 15th.  Sheriff Kevin Bascue reports that when deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop on Highway-50 of a vehicle matching the description provided by Ulysses Police, the driver fled and led deputies on a short pursuit.  The suspect vehicle came to a halt in the parking lot of D & H Homes on East Highway-50.  When the vehicle stopped three suspects jumped out and attempted run away.  Bascue says one of the suspects unleashed a pit bull dog on the deputies who eventually secured the animal.

Garden City David Diaz was arrested for Aggravated Assault on an Officer.  Deputies are still trying to locate the other suspects.
