It’s been a tough onset to summer for Garden City’s Russ Niblock and family.  The Niblock’s East Hillcrest Drive mobile home was destroyed by flames on June 30th.  Luckily nobody was home when the late night inferno erupted and there were no injuries as a result of the blaze, but the Niblocks lost all of their earthly possessions.

Niblock says he and his family are living one day at a time in the wake of the devastating fire.  The American red Cross put the family up at a local motel for a few nights, Niblock’s employer sprang for a couple of more, and now the family is paying out of pocket as they search for a new place to live.  The family is in desperate need of basic items like clothing, furniture, dishes, and appliances.  Cash donations are also being gratefully accepted and a bank account has been established at the Golden Plains Credit Union for the family in the name of Russell Niblock.  For more information call (620) 937-1534.
