A 24-year old Dodge City man accused of killing his own baby will have his first appearance in Ford County Court Monday morning. A prosecutor with the Ford County District Attorney’s Office says formal felony murder charges have now been filed against Dodge City resident Jonathan Villa-Ramirez in the alleged abuse-death of his 9-month old son on Wednesday. The District Attorney’s Office is not commenting on the nature of the abuse or type of injuries inflicted. The infant was pronounced dead Thursday morning.
Ramirez-Villa was tracked down in Oklahoma and arrested. He was transported back to Ford County late Thursday and remains incarcerated at the county detention facility. His bond is set at $250-thousand.
