While Dodge City has postponed its annual community fireworks show due to hot, dry, and windy conditions, there are a number of community fireworks displays still scheduled to take place throughout the region. In Garden City the annual community fireworks display will begin after dark on the south side of Finney County Fairgrounds. Good viewing areas include Finnup Park, the west lawn of the zoo area, and the parking lot at the fairgrounds.
Scott City’s annual fireworks display gets underway after dark at the football field on the east end of town. A good place to view the fireworks is from almost any safely elevated position in town.
In Syracuse in Hamilton County the community fireworks display will take place after sunset at the football stadium.
