Great Scott! Unemployment Rate Drops in Region

Scott County has the lowest unemployment rate in Kansas.  The Kansas Department of Labor reports that the scenic rural county’s unemployment rate in June was just 2.4-percent.  In Finney County the unemployment rate is 5.1-percent, in Ford County it’s 4.1-percent, in Kearney County it’s 3.7-percent, in Gray County it’s 2.7-percent, and in Grant County the unemployment rate is 3.6-percent.

Statewide the rate of unemployment is 6.2-percent.  The national unemployment rate is currently 8.2-percent.
