Kansas Basketball Ponders High Profile Schedule in 2012-2013

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) – National runner-up Kansas will have high-profile games against Big Ten heavyweights Michigan State and Ohio State during the nonconference portion of its schedule next season. The school officials announced the slate of games on Thursday. Kansas will open the season Oct. 30 with an exhibition against Emporia State. The regular season will start against Southeast Missouri State on Nov. 9, the first of two preliminary games of the CBE Classic. Washington State, Texas A&M and Saint Louis also are involved in the tournament. The Jayhawks play Michigan State in Atlanta as part of the Champions Classic on Nov. 13, and visit Ohio State on Dec. 22 in the return game of a series that began last season in Lawrence.
