Last Week for summer Bookmobile

Monday, July 23rd, will be thestart of the last week that the USD 457 Summer Books on the Bus (B.O.B.) and Kids Meals-on-Wheels programswill visit the community.  The last scheduled visit in thecommunity will be Thursday, July 26, 2012.

 

The Kids Meals on Wheels Bus, which accompanies the bookmobile duringthe summer, provides sack lunches to children 18 and younger as part of the SummerFood Service Program.  Adults wishing to eat with their child can purchasea lunch for $3.00. 

 

The bookmobile has been serving thecommunity since 1999.  The goal of the traveling bus is to bringchildren’s books to various locations in Garden City.  The buses have beenvisiting the community Mondays through Thursdays during June and July. 

 

The sites that the Bookmobile will visit include: LeeRichardson Zoo, 312 E. Finnup Drive, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; Ayala Park,216 N. Taylor, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the Public Swimming Pool, inFinnup Park, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Mondays.

 

B.O.B. will visit EastGarden Village,4101 E. Hwy. 50, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; Towns Riverview South, from11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the Public Swimming Pool, in Finnup Park,from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesdays.

 

B.O.B. will visit Lee Richardson Zoo, 312 E. FinnupDrive, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; Ayala Park, 216 N. Taylor, from 11:30a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the Public Swimming Pool, in Finnup Park, from 12:45p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Wednesdays.

 

B.O.B. will visit Farmland Road from 10:15 a.m. to11:00 a.m.; H&H Trailer Park, 4170 E. Hwy 50, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.and the Public Swimming Pool, in Finnup Park, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. onThursdays.
