Dighton

Rickie D. Scott, age 53, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.  He was born on July 22, 1959 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of J.W. and Mary Ellen Martin Scott.  A lifetime resident of Dighton, Kansas, he was a Truck Driver and a Heavy Equipment Operator.

His memberships include the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

On April 1, 1981 he married Judy Yates in Scott City, Kansas.  She survives.

                   Mother                           Mary E. Downing of Andover, Kansas

                   One Sister                    Virgea & Mike Smith of Hugoton, Kansas

                   One Sister In Law        Carol Scott of Andover, Kansas

                   One Brother In Law     Jerry & Nancy Yates of Oakley, Kansas

          He was preceded in death by his Father and One Brother – James Scott.

Funeral Services will be held at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 with Dale Chidester presiding.

Interment will be in the Healy Cemetery in Healy, Kansas.      

Memorials may be given to the Rickie D. Scott Memorial Fund in care of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
