Lorenzo Cain hit a two-run home run in the first inning, and Alex Gordon drove in a run and had three hits. Jonathan Broxton picked up his 23rd save of the season. Kansas City will go for the series win this afternoon, as Luke Hochevar will face the Angels’ Jared Weaver in a 2:35 first pitch at Angels Stadium of Anaheim.
