A Greensburg couple was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on US-54 at 25th Avenue in Kiowa County on Tuesday. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Ellsworth resident Sam Huppert was travelling southbound on 25th Avenue and failed to yield as he crossed US-54. Frederick Neier was driving eastbound on US-54 and collided with Huppert’s vehicle. Both vehicles ended up in the south ditch and came to a halt upright.
Frederick Neier and his wife Paula were injured and taken to Kiowa County Medical Center with moderate injuries. Huppert was not injured in the crash.
