US-56 Cimarron River bridge project in Haskell County ready to start
The Kansas Department of Transportation expects a bridge repair project over the Cimarron River on US-56 in Haskell County to begin the week of August 13. The bridge is located about ½-mile northeast of the Seward/Haskell county line. Traffic will be restricted to one lane across the bridge, controlled by a traffic signal. The Kansas DOT expects this bridge repair project to be finished by November, barring any weather delays. PBX Corporations and Subsidiaries of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, is the primary contractor on this project at a cost of approximately 350 thousand dollars.
