Interment:   Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Leanna May Siler, age 88,   died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron. She was   born January 27, 1924 at Garden City, the daughter of Ora Leonard & Mary   Elizabeth (Anderson) Siler.

Leanna received her teaching   degree from Kansas State University in 1948. She taught music and French at   several schools in Western Kansas including Leoti and Scott City. She was a   longtime Garden City resident and for the past 12 years has lived at the   Shepherd’s Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers-   Albert Siler, Robert M. Siler & Lynn Siler, 2 sisters- Charlotte   Brownback & Anita Jane Siler, niece- Beverly Condra & 3 nephews- Dale   Siler, Ronald Siler & Donald Siler. Leanna was a member of First   Christian Church of Garden City, Kansas State Alumni Association, Finney   County Senior Center, Garden City Community Band, and Finney County   Historical Society.

Survivors include 3 nephews-   Jerry Siler, Robert L. Siler & Danny Siler; and many great-nieces and   nephews.
