The United Way Young Leaders care about children. For the second year in a row the Young Leaders are hosting an event to help local children. We’ve named the event “Stuff the Bus”. The idea to fill a school bus with school supplies which will allow our local children to start the school year well supplied and eager to learn.
On August 10 and 11, this Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, we are asking the great people of Dodge City to bring new school supplies such as backpacks, lunch boxes, pencils, pens, notebooks folders, glue erasers, scissors, rulers, markers, colored pencils, calculators, crayons to stuff the Bright Beginnings Bus parked in the Dillon’s parking at 1700 N 14th. If you don’t have the time to shop, please make a donation to “Stuff the Bus” 2010 First Avenue (the United Way office) and the Young Leaders will shop for you!
The supplies collected from this event will be donated and distributed to the local school district. For more information about the 2012 “Stuff the Bus” event please contact the local United Way office at 227-8793.
Thank you for helping “Stuff the Bus” and thank for caring about kids.
