Officers with the Garden City Police Department’s Drug Task Force served a search warrant at the residence of 23-year old Sergio Herrera-Perez on Shamrock Street Thursday night.  Police Sergeant Michael Reagle reports that the warrant was served in connection with the alleged sales of illegal drugs.

Reagle says officers detained Herrera-Perez outside of his residence while a search was conducted.  The search of the residence and a shed turned up 59.2 grams of cocaine, 1.5 grams of marijuana, $4,060.00, and items of drug paraphernalia that police believe are consistent with the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.

Sergio Herrera-Perez was arrested and lodged in the Finney County Jail on allegations of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, no Kansas drug tax stamp, and possession of marijuana.

Herrera-Perez’s bond was set at $30-thousand, which he posted and was released pending court arraignment.
