US-54 Cimarron River bridge project to start
The Kansas Department of Transportation expects a bridge repair project over the Cimarron River on US-54 in Seward County, about 10 miles east of Liberal, to begin by Tuesday, August 14. Traffic will be restricted to one lane across the bridge, controlled by a traffic signal. The Kansas DOT expects this bridge repair project to be finished by mid-November, barring any weather delays. PBX Corporations and Subsidiaries of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, is the primary contractor on this project at a cost of approximately 476 thousand dollars.
