Garden City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – Coming off their first Jayhawk Conference win in nearly four years last Monday in their straight set defeat of Cloud County, the Garden City Community College Lady Busters Volleyball team had confidence and more intensity as they headed into the match-up with Barton County last night at Perryman Athletic Complex on the campus of GCCC. The Lady Busters were in control over the first two sets beating the cougars 25-17, 25-18 but it was the final three sets that proved to be their demise, as the Lady Cougars began to change the rhythm and gain momentum to close out the match winning the final three sets 25-20, 28-26 and 15-5. Barton County had qualified for the National Tournament in 2011, but this was their first Conference win in 2012. Lady Buster Head Coach Rob Lutz comments on his teams performance.
