Scott City Tennis Sees Improvement in Ulysses

Ulysses, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Playing in their second meet in three days, the Scott City Lady Beavers switched singles and doubles teams up Thursday at the Ulysses meet. Playing No. 1 Singles was Diana Rodgriguez, who played doubles on Tuesday. Rodgriguez ended up placing second for the Lady Beavers. Breanna Emahizer was the No. 2 Singles player for Scott City and ended up in fourth place. Playing No. 1 Doubles was Callan Rice and Holly Wilcoxson. The two paired up and ended up in third place, while the No. 2 Doubles team of Leah Artz and Anna Miller finished fourth out of five teams. For the team standings, Colby won the meet with 25 points, followed by Ulysses with 16, Liberal finished with 12 and  Scott City came up with 11 points.

Scott City will play in two varsity meets next week, as they head to Phillipsburg Tuesday and travel to Dodge City Thursday.
