Its the 75th Hatchet Football Game Tonight in Dodge City vs Garden City-Audio

Dodge City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – No motivation needed here for the oldest High School Football rivalry that plays out tonight in Southwest Kansas at Memorial Stadium in Dodge City,as the Garden City Buffaloes and the Dodge City Red Demons hook-up in the 75th “Hatchet Game”. This is also the 110th meeting between the two schools that dates back to 1903. The “Hatchet Game” always provides lots of importance and the 2012 version is no different, as the 6A District 8 runner-up spot and a trip to play-offs hang in the balance, plus, if Garden City wins, they will have sole possession of 2nd in the WAC. #1 Hutchinson has already clinched the top spot in the State Play-offs with lopsided victories over these two programs in the past couple of weeks. The #1 Salthawks will finish District 8 play tonight with Maize.
