Barbara Boughner, age 75, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at her home in Elkhart, Kansas. She was born June 18, 1937 n Macksville, Kansas the daughter of Howard and Winnie (Walsh) Johnson.

Barbara grew up and attended school in Elkhart. She worked many years and retired as secretary for the Morton County Road Department. She enjoyed visiting with everyone she met, reading and animals. Barbara’s greatest joy was spending time with and encouraging her grandchildren in all their endeavors.
She is survived by one son, Toby Boughner and wife Jenny of Sterling, Colorado; two daughters, Tonya Knier and husband Donnie Jr. of Hugoton, Kansas, Tammy Land and husband Mike of Texas; three brothers, Don Johnson and wife Virginia, Bob Johnson and wife Ramona all of Elkhart, Kansas, Byron Johnson and wife Faye of Borger, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Troy Boughner.
