At about 6:26 Saturday evening, Garden City Police Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Pawnee for a fight in progress.
The initial investigation determined 39 year old David Jordan of Garden City and a 24-year-old un-named Garden City male were involved in two separate physical
altercations. During the first it is alleged Jordan struck the 24-year-old with
a frying pan and knocked him unconscious. A while later they engaged in the 2nd
physical altercation and Jordan was cut on the hand with a knife. The 24-year-old was not at the scene and was found a short time later. He was transported to St. Catherine Hospital and later life-watched to Wichita.
Jordan was arrested and lodged in the Finney County Jail on charges of aggravated battery and interference with a law enforcement officer. He was treated at the hospital for the injury to his hand and remains in jail in lieu of 20 thousand dollars cash bond but also has a no bond hold for parole violation.
