Garden City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – With a very good home crowd on hand Tuesday night at Buffalo Stadium, the Garden City Buffalo boys Soccer team continued to protect their home turf with a 3-1 win over the Liberal Redskins. Liberal had beaten Garden City early in the season at their house 2-1 and the Buffs were determined to get that loss back and they delivered last night controlling the tempo, passing very well and connecting on the goals they had missed in their earlier meeting. Erik Barragan scored two goals in the first half and Emillo Castillo added another in the 2nd forty minutes to give the Buffaloes their 3-1 victory and extend their overall record to 9-2 and 4-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. Coach Joaquin Padilla comments on the win, his teams focus and determination.
