Greg grew up with his family inSpringfield,Colorado. He graduated from high school inSpringfieldin 1983. He then attended and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1987 from St. Mary of thePlainsCollegeinDodge City,Kansas. On June 3, 1989 he married Deena Salmans inDodge City,Kansas. They lived inTopeka,Kansasfor a couple of years before moving back toDodge City. They later moved to Garden City and have lived inLakin,Kansassince 2000. Greg worked as an insurance adjuster for Farmer’s Ins. Co. He also worked as the Lakin High School boys basketball coach before becoming the Lakin middle school girls basketball coach. Greg enjoyed sports and kids. He coached in various sports in the recreation leagues.

Survivors include his wife Deena Reed of the home; three children Zachary Reed of Hillsboro, Kansas, Taryn Reed of the home, and Kyndall Reed of the home; and a brother Galen Reed of Ellis, Kansas.
Greg is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary Reed.
