H. Jeannine Lewis, age 72, passed away in Scott City, Kansas on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. She was born on November 21, 1939 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Huego & Helen Thomas Shearmire.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas and Methodist Church in Gove, Kansas.
She spent her childhood and early adulthood in Scott City, Kansas. She married Ronald Lewis in 1961 and moved to Gove, Kansas. She cherished her days involved in all her children’s activities and her ranch work. She belonged to several women’s groups and taught twirling lessons to many Gove County girls. She had various jobs, always enjoying the fellowship of friends.
She returned to Scott City in 1995. She always had time for her grandchildren and had a special relationship with each one.
She leaves to mourn:

Weston Lewis of Grinnell, Kansas
Regan Lewis of Grinnell, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her Parents and One Brother – James Shearmire.
