Hazel McLean Obituary

 

Hazel N. McLean, age 83, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at her home in Garden City. She was born November 4, 1928 inKit Carson County,Colorado, the daughter of Glen & Martha (Wheeler) Eastin. Hazel married John W. McLean on June 13, 1948 at Kirk,Colorado. He died on February 17, 2006.

There will be a memorial service at 1:00 PM (MST), Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Greydene Baptist Church in Canon City,Colorado.

Hazel attended school in Kirk and Joes, Colorado except for a few years when the family moved to Portland,Oregon during World War II. She and her husband lived in Kirk,Greeley&Brush,Colorado. They retired in Canon City,Colorado where she lived for 21 years before she moved to Garden City in September of 2011. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and her flower gardens. She was the church pianist for most of her life in the communities they lived in. Hazel was a member of the Greydene Baptist Church of Canon City,Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter- Wendi Thompson, 1 sister- Bonnie Smith & 2 brothers- Maurice Eastin & Joe Eastin

Survivors include 2 daughters, Nancy & Gene Hendreschke of Denver, Colorado, Shelley & Tom Case of Garden City; son, Kevin McLean of Canon City, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, Andrew & Kim Hendreschke of Denver, Colorado, Tyson Hendreschke of Billings, Montana, Eric Hendreschke of Bozeman, Montana, Tyler & Chelsea Case of Holcomb, Chris & Sierra Case of Garden City; and 4 great-grandchildren, Bryndan Case of Scott City, Peyton Case of Holcomb, Amery Case of Holcomb, and Amelia Hendreschke of Denver, Colorado.

Memorials may be made to St Catherine Hospice in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
