Approximately 100 blood drives have already been cancelled in 11 states, resulting in a shortfall of more than 3,200 blood donations that could have been collected. With the worst of the storm expected to hit today and tomorrow, and the effects to last days if not weeks after, the American Red Cross is urging eligible donors in unaffected areas to make an appointment to give blood to ensure sufficient supplies, not only locally, but in the areas affected by the hurricane too.

Locally, donors may give blood at:

10/30 – Hugoton Community @ The Fairgrounds from 12:00 – 6:00

10/30 – Garden City @ The Methodist Church from 2:00 – 7:00

10/31 – Scott City @ The William Carpenter Building from 11:00 – 6:00

10/31 – Boise City, OK @ The High School from 2:00 – 6:00

11/1 – Dodge City Community College @ The Gym from 11:30 – 3:30

11/1 – Ulysses Community @ The Fairgrounds from 11:00 – 6:00

11/1 – Sublette Community @ The Christian Church from 2:00 – 6:00
