The Garden City Commission will give consideration at its regularly scheduled meeting this afternoon to authorizing the mayor to proclaim today as LINDA DOLL DAY in recognition of her thirtieth anniversary of service to the Lee Richardson Zoo.
Other Commission business will include a discussion on the recommendation by Chuck Boully of George K. Baum and Company, the city’s financial advisor for the acceptance of bids for the sale of 925 thousand dollars in General Obligation Bonds of the city. If the bid is accepted, the Commission will then be asked to approve an ordinance authorizing issuance od those bonds in providing for the levy and collection of an annual tax to pay the principal of and interest on such bonds.
Consideration will also be given to the approval of a Memorandum of Understanding from Siemens Industries to develop and obtain a preliminary analysis of potential energy and operations savings of city facilities.
