A hit on a Kirksville Missouri Computer Crimes Task Force has led to the arrest of a Garden City man on a wide array of child porn, rape and other sexually explicit charges.
43 year old Brian Banister was arrested October 11th and pending charges include 30 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, 11 counts of Indecent Sexual Liberties with a Child and one count of Rape involving an un-named 14 year old girl.
According to Finney County Sheriff Steve Bascue, a former Finney County Sheriff’s Deputy now working for the Computer crimes Unit of the Kirksville Missouri Police Department picked up the hit and subsequently traced the IP Address back to Midwest Hearing Aids here in garden City. Banister is currently being held in the Finney County Jail in lieu of a total of 1 million dollars bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday October 25th for a PROBABLE CAUSE HEARING.
