A Dodge City woman has been arrested for allegedly helping her 16 year old son flee police. 43 year old Elva Garcia Gomez was taken into custody this past Monday by Dodge City Police Officers and made her first court appearance Wednesday. She is charged with aiding and abetting a felony murder and also interference with Law Enforcement Officers while in the line of duty.
The charges stem from the August 5th murder of 24 year old Miguel Tol-Juarez and are believed to be gang related.
16 year old Miguel Solice has been on the run since the day of that murder and is currently wanted on charges of 1st degree murder, aggravated battery, attempted aggravated robbery and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Gomez is next scheduled to appear in court on November 8th and is currently being held in the Ford County Jail in lieu of 150 thousand dollars bond.
