Southwest Kansas Youth Program October 21st.

SCOTT CITY– The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism (KDWP&T) will host the annual Southwest Youth Program at Scott State Park on October 21, 2012 from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Individuals attending the program will have the opportunity to WIN mentored hunts, as well as a shotgun. To be eligible, youth must be 10 through 16 years old.

Drawing for fall hunts include duck, geese, turkey, and deer. Activities during the day include predator calling, shotgun shooting, archery, etc.

Sponsors will provide a free lunch for everyone who attends the program, as well as shirts and predator calls. Sponsors include, Extreme Fowl, Pheasants Forever from Scott City and Scott County, Oasis Hunting , Hoeme & Hoeme Farms .
