Garden City Man Arrested for Armed Robbery and Felony Vehicular Theft

A Garden City man is in jail after being apprehended by Finney County Sherriff’s Deputies Wednesday evening.  21 year old Cesar Holguin of garden City was arrested at mile marker 33 on US Highway 156 after the stolen Dodge Caravan he was driving was spotted by an off duty Garden City Police Officer headed eastbound on highway 156 around 7:30PM Wednesday evening without it headlights on.  The officer was able to follow the vehicle until Sheriff’s Deputies were able to arrive and stop the vehicle.  Holguin was then apprehended and taken into custody without incident.

The theft occurred at McDonald’s when Holguin, armed with a knife approached the vehicle which was being driven by a 61 year old Pierceville man demanded the keys and fled in the vehicle.

Holguin is charged with Aggravated Robbery and Felony Theft and is currently being held in the Finney County Jail without bond.
