Nina Taylor, 93 ofLakin,Kansasdied Wednesday, March 20, 2013 atMCmahon-TomlinsonNursingCenterinLawton,Oklahoma. She was born November 13, 1919 inFargo,Oklahomathe daughter of Harry R. & Ella Mae (Watson) Newcomb.

Nina grew up inFargo,Oklahomawhere she graduated from high school. On October 15, 1939, she married Delmer L. Taylor inMoreland,Oklahoma. They lived inLyons, Ks., Ellsworth, Ks., & Spearman, Tx. before moving to Lakin, Ks. in 1954. Nina later moved toLawton, Ok. in 2006 and has lived inLawtonsince. A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, reading, and taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of theLakinUnitedMethodistChurchwhere she taught Sunday school. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Methodist Life, PEO Chapter FQ, the Cow Belles, and she volunteered her time at the Budget Shop.

Survivors include her three daughters Lyndel Taylor-Warden & husband Neil Warden of San Marcos, Texas, Peggy Wiatt & husband Mark of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Janet Harrington & husband Bruce of Lawton, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law Juanita Crone of Lakin, Kansas; eight grandchildren Sarai Strickland & husband T.L., Jamie Fisher & wife Stephanie, Molly Smith & husband Gene, Amanda Jamison & husband Scott, Cody Fisher, J.R. Blackett, Blake Harrington, & Beau Harrington; and ten great-grandchildren. Nina is preceded in death by her husband Delmer who died on May 16, 1997. She is also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Harold Newcomb, Hurley Newcomb, Orvil Newcomb, & Marion Newcomb; and four sisters Delores Hayes, Irene Rhudy, Eleaner Desbrow, & Freda Sheets.
