Dodge City Police Seeking Possible Child Abduction Suspect

Dodge City Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a possible child abduction suspect.  According to Dodge City Police Chief Craig Melleker, on 06/16/2103 around 1030 in the morning, a 16 year old female was walking in the 1100 block of 3rd Avenue in Dodge City when she was approached by a Hispanic male in a white suburban. The male tried to force the victim into his vehicle but was interrupted by a bystander in the area. The male suspect then fled.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, approximately 5’8, 150 pounds, muscular build with black hair, and a very dark complexion. His hair is shaved on the sides and spiked on top. At the time of this incident he was wearing a blue t-shirt with a white logo on it, black jeans and black tennis shoes. He spoke with a heavy accent indicative of Spanish being his primary language.

The vehicle is described as an early 2000s model white suburban with shiny wheels (rims) and tinted windows. It was bearing an unknown Kansas license plate.
