Bandits to play in knockout game

Hays, Ks (westernkansasnews)-A season of struggles comes down to this: win and move on or lose and go home. Finney County will face Dodge City in an elimination game at the American Legion District Tournament Tuesday Morning in Hays. 

The Bandits were put in this situation following a 6-1 loss to Hays in their district opener. 

“The game really game down to the first two innings,” Finney County manager Joe Kraft said. “Mental and physical mistakes were our detriment today.”

The goal now: start fresh. 

“Hopefully we can bounce back,” Kraft said. “We have to bounce back.”

Dodge City lost to Hays 16-6 in a four-inning run rule. 

Tuesday’s Schedule

Finney County vs. Dodge City 11 am at Larks Park

Finney/Dodge winner vs. Hays 1 pm at Larks Park
