Benito L. Ybarra
Benito L. Ybarra, age 88, of Johnson, Kansas, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson, Kansas. He was born June 30, 1925, in Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Antonio and Juanita (Leal) Ybarra.
Benito, a farm hand, moved to Johnson, Kansas in 1966. He married Cesaria G. Gonzalez in August 1972 in Johnson, Kansas. Benito enjoyed being outside, working in the garden and repairing small engines. He attended services at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Cesaria Ybarra of Emporia, Kansas; sons, Bennie Ybarra of Johnson, Kansas, Jessie Ybarra of Pratt, Kansas, Ramon Ybarra of Manter, Kansas, Tony Ybarra of Emporia, Kansas; daughter, Maggie Boldridge of Emporia, Kansas; sisters, Antonia and Martha both of Texas; and six grandchildren.
Benito is preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings.
Memorial service will be Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson, Kansas with Reverend Peter Fernandez officiating. Arrangements are in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855.
