Dean Flowers, age 79 and formerly of Garden City, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on August 12, 1934 in Levelland, Texas the daughter of Charles and Ada May Pine Stephens. A resident of Zapata, Texas since 1989, she had been a Telephone Operator with AT&T

She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary.

Survivors include:

  • Two Sons, Randy (& Jodele) Green of Hugoton, Kansas and
  • Rusty (& Kelli) Green of Long Beach, California;
  • Three Daughters, Tina (& Robert Lynch of Greeley, Colorado, 
  • Great (& Barry) Naab of Belton, Missouri and
  • Patti (& Terry) Winkelman of Garden City, Kansas;
  • Seventeen Grandchildren and Fourteen Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, A.C. Green and William Bert Flowers and a Son, Stephen Green.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Elks Lodge in Garden City, Kansas.

Additional Memorial Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Zapata, Texas at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church or the Zapata County Public Library of Zapata, Texas both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
