Buster softball swept by Western Nebraska

Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-After a string of tough losses in El Dorado on Saturday, Garden City hoped some home cooking Sunday would turn the tide. It did not.

The Busters mustered just nine hits in two innings as they were swept by Western Nebraska 7-0 and 14-3.

“Booted the ball a little bit,” Assistant Coach Christina Mueller said. “We had some defensive errors that hurt us. Then we also had times where we had people on base and just didn’t get it done.”

Rachel Roe started both games but was chased after only two and a thirds inning of work in game two.

Next up: Garden City vs. Lamar-Tuesday, April 8-1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
