Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Three years ago, Dodge City launched its Downtown Revitalization Improvement Program. This offered businesses a 50/50 grant to improve the exterior of their buildings. Mainstreet Director Chelsea Dawson says this year they took the program one step further.

Dodge City Mainstreet wants to help improve Eisenhower Park with the goal to raise 250 thousand dollars. Mainstreet Director Chelsea Dawson on what they are looking for.
Dawson says they are in the process of applying for three or four grants. If successful, construction begins next year.
The Community Facility Advisory Board has an important meeting Wednesday night as they determine what features to install in the city’s new aquatic park. The board will make decisions based on surveys filled out over the last few months. The meeting is at 6 from the city commission chambers.
