Buster women’s basketball assistant resigns (Audio)

Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-As a player, Whitney Corley was fantastic. Over the past half decade, she’s become an even better coach.

That’s what Garden City loses after Corley decided to leave the program to take the assistant’s job at Southwestern College in Winfield.

“We’re just now finding out all the things that Whitney did for this program,” Salazar said. “She did so much-from recruiting to making sure all the kids were enrolled in their proper classes. I can’t say enough.”

The Mooreland, Okla native spent six seasons as an assistant for Garden City. After an all-state senior season with the Lady Cats, Corley moved on to star at Southwestern before moving on to earn her master’s at Fort Hays State University.
