Budget Cuts To Have Impact On Dodge City Schools

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)The Governor’s budget cuts of forty five million dollars in cuts to education could not come at a worse time for USD 443 in Dodge City.  Superintendent Alan Cunningham says his schools stand to lose 450-thousand dollars.

Other things could be on the chopping block too including extra curricular activities.

Cunningham is also concerned about Governor Brownback throwing out the current funding model and replacing it with a bloc grant system.  That could conceivably put a bigger squeeze on the district’s budget.
