Southwest Chief Passengers Evacuated As Precaution After Bomb Threat

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A bomb threat directed towards one of the trains on the Southwest Chief line necessitated an evacuation by law enforcement shortly after midnight Monday morning in Garden City.  The American Red Cross provided blankets while the 150 passengers and 10 crew members were transported to the law enforcement center.  After a thorough inspection of the train cars, nothing unusual was spotted.
