Charlie R. Paris, 75, died April 15, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born on March 12, 1940 in Gallup, New Mexico , the son of Loren Lester and Lily Irene (Graham) Paris. 

Charlie grew up in Clayton, New Mexico and attended school there. On June 4, 1960, he married Arlene Blosser. She survives. He later married Deanna Lynne Tyler on July 27, 1989 in Winnemuca, New Mexico. She also survives. Charlie worked for the Union County New Mexico road department and also ranched on the Deming Doak Ranch. He moved to southwest Kansas in 1971 and settled in Moscow. He worked for Carl Brollier for many years. Charlie later worked at various feedlots around southwest Kansas as a feedlot cowboy. He retired in January of 2015. Charlie enjoyed roping, chasing coyotes, and coaching his children and grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Lynne , Charlie is survived by five children, Steven Ray Paris and wife Janet of Liberal, Michael James Paris and wife Kim of Purdon, Texas, Cherrye Arlene Paris of Dalhart, Texas, Jenna Rae Paris-Dowler and husband John of Pierceville, and Sean Tyler and wife Becky of Sublette; five siblings, Lester Paris of Los Lumas, New Mexico, Maxine Christian of Dumas, Texas, Elsie Boatman, Logan, New Mexico, Jerry Paris of Sublette, and Linda Potter of Dumas, Texas; 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, Jim Paris, Hermie Paris, and Martha Shafer, and one grandson, Stormy James Paris. 

Memorial service will be held at Copeland Christian Church on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Travis Swafford presiding. Inurnment will follow at Copeland Cemetery.
