Ongoing Cases: Bond Set For Murder Suspect; Two Arrests in Attempted Robbery
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Bond has been set at 1.3 million dollars for a 32 year old man from Garden City charged of 1st degree murder. Michael George is accused of killing 21 year old Karlton Waechter by shooting the victim multiple times. The call came into officers shortly before 7 Sunday night.
Garden City Police have arrested two man accused of an aggravated robbery outside the Magnison Hotel last Friday night. Two people were treated on scene for minor injuries. 39 year old Warren Elliot of Garden City and 42 year old Shawn Sheldon of Scott City were arrested later and booked into the Finney County jail.
Officers responded to an accident Monday night before 7 at Mary and Belmont. 27 year old Nolan Hickok’s blue chevy truck struck a Nissan Titan driven by a woman. The impact collided with a third vehicle that then struck a utility pole. Four people suffered minor injuries in the accident including a four year old. Hickok was cited for inattentive driving.
