Oscar Junior Olson

Oscar Junior Olson, 84, of Liberal, passed away on April 26, 2015 at the Medicalodge of Goddard at Goddard, KS.  

He was born on April 19, 1931 to Oscar and Violet (Jackson) Olson at Liberal, KS. 

On October 19, 1952 he married Dorothy L. Glover at Turpin, OK. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2012.

Junior worked as a Grocery Selector for Nash Finch for 25 years before retiring in the early 1990’s, he then went to work with Marty Bowers as a Carpenter where he loved to work with wood. 

He is survived by Three Sons- Gene Olson of Liberal, KS, Gary Olson of Kansas City, MO, Tommy Joe Olson of Delavan,WI; Three Sisters- Kathryn Wyche of Guymon, OK, Rachel Harvil of San Jacinto, CA, Marlene Jepson of Leavenworth, KS. Five Grandchildren- Matthew Olson, Danny Olson, Dianna Olson, Calen Olson and Peggy Ward; 10 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, One Son – Jeffery Olson, 2 Sisters Elsie Whetstone and Ethyl Nance; One Brother- Arthur Olson.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday May 1, 2015 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rex Petty officiating. 

Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Cremation has taken place.
