Infamous Robotics Teacher Speaks at DCCC Lecture Series
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) It was an improbable story. Four Hispanic high school students from the inner city of Phoenix at Carl Hayden High School went on to win a national underwater robotics competition beating students from MIT. The inspiration led to the movie “Spare Parts”. The student’s teacher, Fredi Lajvardi was the speaker at Dodge City Community College’s Lecture series Thursday night.
Lajvardi hopes the story inspires others.
The four students were all undocumented aliens at the time of the competition. All have gone to success in their lives following their achievement.
