Alan Kent Logan, 64, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. 

He was born May 1, 1951 at Concordia, Kansas, the son of Robert and Ila Mae Wohler Logan. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for Black Hills Energy. 

Alan enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, hiking, tending to his yard, wood crafting and drinking beer. He also enjoyed visiting Oxford, England with his wife. 

On October 12, 1974, he married Anne Buxton. She survives. 

Other survivors include: 2 sons, Geoffrey Logan, Dodge City, Kansas and Christopher Logan, Canon City, Colorado; his daughter Felicity Anne Schweiring, Howell, New Jersey; his parents, Concordia, Kansas; 2 brothers, Ron Logan, Olathe, Kansas and Brian Logan, Wamego, Kansas; a sister, Chris Fowler, Gardner, Kansas; and 2 grandchildren, Logan and Taylor Schweiring. 

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, with Fr. Ted Skalsky presiding. There will be a book signing Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place.
