Charles Richard Hass

Charles Richard Hass,78,died June 22, 2015 at his home with family. He was born on August 18, 1936 at Dangerfield, TX the son of James Andrew and Lela Edna (Croley) Hass.

At a young age he found ways to earn extra money to help his family. Brothers and Sisters would say he was self-employed and a proud man even as a child. The family would eventually move to Idalou, Texas. He met and married Margie Eudene Thompson November 12, 1955. She went home to the Lord on January 27, 1992. Charles loved to use his hands and took pride in building homes and doing trim work. That craft would lead him to Liberal, Kansas and Garden City, Kansas where he and his brother Robert would open C&R Ready Built Homes together. When he decided to retire, he moved to Poteau, Oklahoma in 1985 where hunting and fishing were a way to enjoy the days. He took trips back to Western Kansas in the fall to pheasant and deer hunt with his son-in-law Melvin and grandson Chris. He met LaDonna “Donna” Wheat in Poteau, Oklahoma. They married November 1, 1993 in Branson, Missouri. Together they shared their children and grandchildren. Their lives together created C&D Homes, OK Garage Doors, and they always fit hunting and fishing, along with travel in their lives. Charles and Donna moved to Ocala, Florida in 2006 to be close to a sister Gwendolyn. Anywhere Charles was, you always found his little dog Ricky. Charles loved the Lord and was saved. Our hearts truly break as the void left here is tremendous but we can rejoice that he loved the Lord and is safe in his loving arms. Everywhere he went, everyone he met, he made such a loving impact on them. Charles is survived by his wife, Donna and his dog Ricky, daughter Denise Denton and husband Melvin; two sons Gary Page and girlfriend Michele; Mike Page and wife Claire; grandchildren Christopher Charles Denton and wife Angela; Ammie Weidner and husband Nick; Brandon Page and wife Sarah; Jennifer Lyons; Ryan Page and wife Whitney; Scott Page; Heather Page fiance John; Hayley Page; great grandchildren Trinity Denton; Baby Page; three brothers Robert Hass and wife Carolyn; Douglas Kirk and wife Susan; Dennis Kirk and wife Margaret; two sisters Gloria Crisp and husband Wayne; Norma Jackson and husband Mel; brother-in-law William “Bud” Wheat and wife Johnnie and a sister-in-law Gwendolyn Hamilton and many nieces and nephews.
