Nicholas Joe “Nick” Daugherty
Nicholas Joe “Nick” Daugherty, 33, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
Nick was born November 5, 1981 in Liberal, KS, the son of Paul and DeAnna (Daugherty) Burns. Nicholas was a lifelong Liberal resident. He had attended Liberal High School and earned his GED and he had also attended SCCC.
Nick was all about family and collected antiques and had a passion for Coca Cola Bottles. He loved cars, riding dirt bikes and enjoyed working on Stereos. He was always known to be neat and clean. Nicholas was a member of the Masonic Fargo Lodge #300 in Liberal, KS.

Parents Paul and DeAnna Burns Liberal, KS
1 Sister LaTosha Ybarra and husband Michael Plains, KS
1 Daughter Nyssa Goitia Liberal, KS
Grandmother JoAnn Burns Tyrone, OK
Nieces and Nephew Amelia Daugherty; Alyzia Daugherty; Gabriel Amerin; Araina Amerin and Alaighnia “LeLe” Amerin
And several Aunts and Uncles.
Nick was preceded in death by Grandparents Charles and Thelma Daugherty and Grandfather Earl Burns.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Thursday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Stone presiding. Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation time will be 5 to 8pm Tuesday and 9am to 8pm Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 7 to 8pm Wednesday.
