Roman F. Wiehebrink

Roman F. Wiehebrink, Jr., 50, died July 15, 2015 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. He was born on December 2, 1964 at Dodge City the son of Roman Wiehebrink Sr. and Darlene M. (Kleweno) Demoret. 

He was a graduate of Dodge City High School, Dodge City Community College, and Pittsburg State University. Roman was a very accomplished football player and was named All-Conference and All-American at Pittsburg State. He holds numerous records at Pittsburg State. Roman was named “Mr. Kansas” for body building. Roman also excelled in wrestling and was a state and national champion. He holds records in Coffeyville in power lifting. He previously had worked as a truckdriver for Beaver Express and Sallee/DC Express. 

Roman is survived by one sister, Ponda Soza of Dodge City; two nephews, Xavier White and Suede Soza both of Dodge City; and two great nephews, Kanyon White of Fort Worth, TX and Keaton White of Dodge City. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ronnie Lee Wiehebrink; and his wife, Diana Clark-Wiehebrink. 

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Friends may sign the register book on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 12:00 – 6:00 P.M.. Memorials are suggested to Roman Wiehebrink Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
