Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty; Schedule Set For Trial

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) One of two men facing a murder charge in the shooting death of Karlton Waechter at East Garden Village last April pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.  32 year old Michael Eugene George Junior will be bound for trial.  The trial begins next January.  If convicted, George could receive up to fifty years in prison.   Bond remains at 1.3 million dollars.
