Broncbuster volleyball shows promise; falls in four sets

Great Bend, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-If the first set of Wednesday night’s conference showdown with Barton was any indication, Jacquelynne Matula was well on her way to her first win as Broncbuster coach.

“We played so well in that opening set,” she said. “But we made way too many mistakes after that.”

The end result was a four set loss to the Cougars 25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 23-25.

“We just have to figure things out,” Matula added.

With the loss, Garden City fell to 0-5 on the season and 0-1 in the Jayhawk.
